Case Study:

Baby Dove Project Launch and Beyond

Project Support From Design Brief Creation To Global Launch Support

Interactive Consumer Sketching

Tasked with leading the Global launch of baby dove design project, I led a group of designers who worked with new mothers to understand what they wanted in a packaging that would be in close contact with their newborns.

Packaging Semiotics

These interactive design sessions were crucial in determining the right aesthetics and semiotics for the optimal pack experience. This informed the design brief that would guide the agency in creating the new pack.

Assortment of Baby Dove skincare products including wipes, lotion, shampoo, cream, and soap bar.

CAD Modelling Simplified

With the power of parametric CAD modeling one file can be used to create multiple variations. Once design lock was achieved, I created a parametric model with built in DFM checks of the hero pack. This became the seed part for every pack (30+) developed for the Baby Dove line. This helps to reduce concept development time.

Key Shot Rendering

To help Brand understand the visual impact of each structure I render images in Key Shot.

Regional Product Range

The range needed to meet the requirements for Skin Care, Hair Care, and Bathing, with sizes from 100ml to 600ml, and different cap or pump requirements produced globally by different suppliers. Automated CAD design reduced development time by 50% per pack and allowed the brand to reach the market sooner.
